Thanks so much for your reply. I live in [censored by flr]
and I'm trying to help [censored by flr]. Bowdon does not have
a radio station - nor hospital. There was once a hospital but
it closed years ago. Bowdon is a very small town with only one
fast food restaurant.
The next re-zoning meeting is May 21st at 6:30 in Carrollton.
Carrollton is in Carroll County and next to Bowdon. It is the
closest town of any size. Carrollton does have a radio station
and hospital which is about 20 miles from where they want to
build the facility.
The land they want is in a flood plain and could be a problem for
rescue and fire departments.
What is your motivation against this group? How did you get
involved or find out about them?
We have printed everything from your website and have been researching
newspapers from Oklahoma. Most things can be said as hearsay so any
documentation or real life experiences would be helpful.
They tried to rezone as office institutional and it was voted down
but now they are going to reapply as "conditional". This
is very broad term.
There were reporters from 2 newspapers "The Star" and
"The Bowdon Bulletin" at the meeting and were to have
articles in their next issues.
They have some people siding with them because they are saying this
will help the drug problem in Bowdon which is no different from any
small town in America.
Please let me know when you are planning to come to Bowdon - I will
help with anything I can.
I greatly appreciate your help and support. It is nice to have
someone that knows more about this organization because we have
only had a brief introduction.
Are you aware of 2 other facilities they have in Georgia -
Marietta & Brunswick?
Thanks again. I will be waiting for your reply. My daytime email
is [censored by flr]
Thanks!
